VM free to air channels

You need a splinter mate the fm side is no good to you

Splitter at this point will not help, he has used the lead that feeds his router and not getting any channels so something is wrong with the setup

So, I have the DVB-C installed with correct drivers on Ubuntu with TV Headend. Would you be able to point me in the right direction of correct settings / setup in TVHeadend please?

Kind regards.

As you can see from the 2nd image (click on it to expand), I just get Scan Result FAIL.
Can you see what I am doing wrong?

There are only a handful of free channels

BBC One
BBC Two
ITV
Channel 4
Channel 5
BBC Four (maybe)
Pick
Challenge
Channel 4+1
BBC Alba
S4C
BBC News
Sky News
BBC Parliament
CBBC
Cbeebies

(Also the the audio description version)

Yes, there's not a lot available for free (revenge from all the years of free channels lol)

You use to be able to get ITV1/2/3/4+1's but not real time???

I am just trying to get signal, not bothered how many free to air channels I can see.

Is there some way I can test that the hardware all works, using another ubuntu application?

When you add the DVB-C network

You give it a name and on that first screen the only other thing you should enter is the network ID - what are you entering there?

When you say add the DVB-C Network - what do you mean?
Do you have to alter / change something in the network settings also?

OK

In tvheadend

Configuration

Networks

Add

DVB-C

it should in that box ask dor a network ID

I give it a name and use 41041, then go to TV Adapters and associate that network with the two DVB-C Adapters. I then sit and wait but nothing happens. I then try to go to Muxes and add a Mux using 66.75Mz and 6952Sym/s. This results in the Scan Result of Fail. :(

Try 6675 rather than 66.75
Sorry it was actually 666.75Hz I was using, I have also tried 66675, and other variations, same result :(. What I really need is to scan the anything and everything and see what I pick up, I can then so whats what.

ok earlier post you mention a providers box,i would be double checking the info off that box if its working as it should show your correct id and frequency.
enter those details in scan settings should bring in channels .
