Sky has today closed down the Sky Real Lives portfolio of channels and reallocated the budget to Sky1 and Sky2.

As of 5.59am this morning, Sky Real Lives and Sky Real Lives 2 ceased broadcasting on the digital satellite platform. Sky Real Lives HD and Sky Real Lives +1 have also shut down.

Launched three years ago to replace Sky Travel, Sky Real Lives produced a range of real-life programmes aimed at women in the 35 to 54 age range.

However, Sky has decided that the channel's audience can be "better served" by allocating the programming budget to the main Sky1 and Sky2 channels.

"By focusing content investment on those channels which offer greater reach and exposure, we believe we can better meet customer demands," said head of Sky Real Lives Barbara Gibbon.

"There will be no compromise on screen, nor in satisfying Sky Real Lives viewers, who'll continue to enjoy a rich diversity of high-quality pay-TV programming."


Speculation is already mounting about what will happen with the vacant slots on Sky's programming guide.

Possible options include the expected launch of Living HD, after Sky recently acquired the Living channel operator Virgin Media Television.

But in my defense i didn't think you needed a hd box in order to scan for hd channels, i thought they would just be there but you would be unable to view them?

Im still unable to get the files in the right place the channellist goes into the var/etc where do all the bouquet and service etc files go

Transfer all the bouquets files to var/tuxbox/config/enigma

or open them in DBEdit and send them over that way

Hi,

I am having real trouble with WeekEPG 3.1b on my Technomate TM600PVR. The problem seems to be EPG to channel mapping in that when I select EPG and send to timer it does not dispay the channel above the "SCAN EPG" button. It displays 0-0-0. When I then look at which channel 0-0-0 is, it is actually channel 488 which is a place holder in my boquets.

Any advice would be much appreciated

have been distracted with my "Blue Panel" will be updating my chan list soon.
couple of issues though, i'm unable to scan "11488000" just get really high BER think my dish has moved abit or something... so i'll be missing "showcase+1" on next update probably, although could add manually.

also i need someone with E2 box + E2LoadEPG to update their EPG list so i can get the EPG i'ds for a couple of new chans "Sky3+1" and "Vintage Tv" are main ones i think.

Eurobird 1 @ 28.5 has moved to 28.70 and its impacting a few transponders that were already slightly weaker.

Virgin 1/+1 has been renamed to Channel One/+1 / Entertain bouquet

New channel Vintage TV / Music bouquet

also some changes in Shopping/Religious/International channels
been unable to get EPG i.d's for "Sky3+1" or "Vintage TV" yet..

Has been Added to my Blue Panel server for easier Install/update.

daughter been getting into it when theres nobody in house, but she wants to record it when she`s out.

to be honest probably not, i'm doing too many things at the moment

if you want to do it yourself put it into Reality bouquet in alphabetical order

then add this line to channels.uk
1;5165;Fitness TV;347;d395:a2a:2

might add it on next update i do to chan lists but not sure when that will be, and depends if i can find the new EPG i.d's
