Hi again all,

A while back I used to be able to receive a few East Beam transponders/frequencies from Turksat 2A/3A at 42.0°E but then they became rather elusive... however... over the last few days I have started to receive a couple of the East Beam transponders/frequencies again from Turksat 3A... yesterday I managed to receive a signal from...

Turksat 3A at 42.0°E

10.954 H [2960] 5/6 DVB-S [QPSK] 15.2 Mbps [East Beam]

ANS TV (Azerbaijan) [VPID 0308/APID 0256/PPID 8190] FTA

TM 5402 HD CI+ Super+
Signal Strength 97%
Signal Quality 53%

I have attached a few pictures below...

hi,
i can receive one or two east beam ones during daytime but they become elusive at night wonder why??

Hi again all,

The Signal Quality reading on this East Beam transponder is currently the highest I've ever seen...

10.982 H [9600] 5/6 DVB-S [QPSK] 15.2 Mbps [East Beam]

Bugun TV (Turkiye) [VPID 0310/APID 0262/PPID 8189] FTA
KanalTurk TV (Turkiye) [VPID 0308/APID 0256/PPID 8190] FTA

TM 5402 HD CI+ Super+
Signal Strength 97%
Signal Quality 59%

However the Signal Quality reading on this transponder could actually be even higher as it's very overcast here with intermittent drizzle... so not ideal reception conditions...

Best Wishes,
Zorch

That's strange... I've seen several reports on other forums indicating that some members in Yorkshire are receiving a few of the East Beam transponders from Turksat 3A on normal 1.2m dishes... perhaps your Fibo needs further fine adjustments to be made on that satellite...?

Best Wishes,

yes - i,v seen good reports form parts of yorks too - especially good from near the east coast -- i,m in the north west corner of yorkshire about 25 miles from the west coast -- i think it is a lot weaker for me here - nothing less than 1.8 it seems .

regards --

Just tried this transponder and as expected, here in West Lancs, absolutely no chance.

But I knew there wouldn't be anyway.
