Tuner from Thomson sly box To Dreabox 800

Ok guys this is a bit of a pie in the sky shot, but.... Does anyone know if you can take the tuner from an old sky box and fit it into a dreambox 800? They look similar so I just wondered if it might work, thought I'd ask on here before the sizzle.

Although the contacts are the same size, the casing on the Thomson tuner is larger. This prevents it from fitting into the slot owing to confilct with the heatsink. There are also three capacitors on the DM mobo next to the tuner slot which would get in the way.
