Tune Failed issues DM800SE Clone

I've just started to get really bad problems with tune failed on a DM800SE Clone using OpenPLI image.

I have a steady 90% + signal on a static Sky dish, and this then drops to 0 % and I get "Tune failed"

I've read quite a bit about this and there doesn't seem to be a solution? Does my tuner have problems?

Tried both of those and makes no difference

try new psu also try taking tuner out and give it a wipe

Luckily the tuner is easily plug and play swappable and not soldered to the board like some other receivers. Try a different PSU first failing that try a new tuner. Could also try a different known working box on the same feed to check for possible cabling or lnb issue.

Can you use an original tuner on a clone box? I assume this is ok?

There is no markings on my tuner regarding verison or revision so I've no idea what is it :-(

Yes it is OK.

However, before you buy do some tests. Hopefully you have ruled out PSU/LNB/Cabling

The tuner swap has made no difference :-(

I'm waiting for a signal tester to turn up so I can take a look at that

Can't you take reciever round to someone else's house?

It was a faulty cable to the dish that caused the tuner failed issues
