Pretty much sums up bbc hd,some great quality and then some shit.Heroes was very good but mountain like alot of bbc hd broadcasts was shit.Lacked detail and looked out of focus.It sems that most of the stuff they produce themselves is crap and the stuff they get in is good.

Jonathan ross has only just started to look good,up until a few weeks ago it was better quality on bbc sd,than hd,no joke.

Well watched HD on my big telly last night i.e.the game on a Bush freesat HD stb, all I can say not so good on a smaller telly 19" but on a large one superb, even last of the summer wine on bbc HD was worth viewing just for the HD alone.

Couple of small issues, why can't ITV have a dedicated channnel as BBC has? and it's a shame that Big Cat Diaries were'nt on HD as it would really show it off.

for anyone with an HDMI Lead if you put the lead into a HDMI slot on the back off of an STB i.e. BT Vision or any box supporting HDMI although not HD the picture improves dramatically.

btw is Rat on commision from the Beeb ?

I agree about some programming not being shot in HD (BBC) Merlin for one,I did post a explanation from the BBC why some arnt shot in HD

ITV just havent got the funds for a fully funded HD channel from what Ive been reading,but they are showing more and more in HD
