Softmod Newb needs help!

Doing my first wii softmod, running 4.3e. Followed all the instructions and got as far as trying to set up usbloader but I cant get it to recognise my hdd. Its a western digital my passport 1tb drive. In the wiki it says it should work for backups not homebrew. tried installing digis ios222 files but doing the same thing. It just times out. Can anyone help?

Are you using a Y cable and have you formatted the drive correctly. If its 1TB I think you may need to create a smaller FAT32 partition depending which loader you are using.

Just realised I've made a double post! Sorry. All solved now. Hdd just would not work with cfg usb loader, used usb loader gx and it worked staright away!
