Skystar 2 mewbe

Afternoon all,

On a recent job I installed a new hard drive music system in a fitness club and removed a shuttle with a skystar 2 card in it.

I have recently got more involved in the euro sat systems and installed an 80cm motorised dish (soon to be 1m) to me TM1500 C+ using a diablo 2.3 and gamma.

My question is what can I do with the skystar 2 and will I be able to view the same channels that the TM1500 and diablo give me?

Hi mate

I think you should roughly get the same as you get with the TM. Use Vplug and S2emu with the most upto date keys. You can also get the HD H.264 transmittions from BBC and the like. With the Skystar you should also be able to recieve the 4:2:2 feeds.

I use DVB viewer as I find it the most stable, but ProgDVB has lots of support and plugins and such, but I don't find its as stable. Also ALTdvb and DVBdream are also pretty solid viewers, but I have problems using the BDA drivers and trying to drive a motor with both ALTdvb and DVBdream.
