Skybox f5 help!!

Hi all never had a problem with an f3 before but as soon as I replaced it with an f5 I had a random problem I've never heard of. I plugged it in wih all details and worked perfect, after ten mins I was flicking through channels and the box froze. So I turned it off and on but when I did . . . Scrambled. Checked router and instead of the ethernet light being green like normal, its red. Never seen it before, thought I'll try f3 again and its fine, changed ethernet cables, rebooted everything. Very confused, any help or ideas appreciated

Update - tried box in a different house and workig fine, need to try again later to see if its fixed now, if not the ony difference is bb provider
