Sil 3132 PCI-E SATA Card

Hi Guys, I have installed a Sil 3132 PCI-E SATA Card into my dads PCI-E slot but the computer does not seem to recognise it. He is running vista ultimate, I have installed the drivers it cam with, but still no change.

Is there a way of turning a raid card on?

The reason for fitting the card was to put an additional hard drive in, and the mother board only has 2 SATA connections on it, the board is and ASUS M2N-MX SE PLUS

Any help appreciated.

the pci-e slot is for a pci-e video card only
u would be better off with a pci card for sata
or use ide
