having just set up my raid using my onboard satas i ended up having 2 drives left over
so i went and got a pcie sata card from maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=221494
installed it,attached the drives went to boot-no boot,my raid array doesnt show up-it does if i change the sata from raid to ide but it refuses to let me boot the raid array
ive tried flashing the card to a non raid bios but its just the same
im also getting a "not enough space to copy pci option rom" error-having googled this ive tried various suggestion,turning off pcie spread spectrum,turning off non essential features \nd such
at the moment i have all my drives showing and ive booted into my raid array but i had to attach the sata leads after i had gone into windows
does any1 know how to get round this,i cant be stripping my pc down every time i need to reboot
or failing a workaround does anyone know a sata pcie card that will allow me to boot into my mobos onboard raid with my 2 drives attached to it
