RAC SatNav 200

hi, the way i got tom tom working on the rac 200 was a pain but i formated the sd card with my card reader then put the card back into the satnav and turned on the sat nav then windows mobile device centre opend up then i clicked on file managment and there is a link for brouse the contents of your device open that and select SDMMC that is yr sd card now while that is opend find the tom tom files and open mobilenavigator and change the named file from mobilenavigator to R66navigate7 once that is done just drag and drop all the files in the mobilenavigate to the sd card this do's take a while plus it might say this file might not work with yr device ignore that and add all files and once that is done u can check to see if it works and if it do's u can add the map folder as one, drag and drop again. then follow the instructions in the keygen folder and follow the steps and hopefully yr done. i had to buy a external arial to get my gps working but you can get these from ebay if yrs plays up like mine the arial you need is a

gps antenna 1m length mmcx with a 180 degree straight connector

Just hacked my RAC NAV200 with TomTom7 software provided here - works a treat.

I have now added the french maps that i found on Rapid share.

The Meta.txt file provided in the V8 hack for maps worked for me, I can now choose between UK&Ireland and French maps.

Going to see if i can find speed cam overlays now.

i bought this navsat200 from a friend but without the sd card (which i didnt know the software should be on) and i have tried the tom tom software but keep getting told i dont have any maps even though i have installed them using both keygens..... i have tried the IGO8 software also only to not even be able to enter the program (the navsat wont let me get any further than the origional screen with settings / navigation / about) so caan anyone tell me the links or anything i need to be able to get it to work as im really frustrated at this point...

ive got a rac200 with tomtom, route66 and igo running on it..i prefer the igo8 software...its brilliant roud:mind you ive been given a new tomtom...so this im gonna sell..lol

I've spent about an hour messing about with one of these RAC Satnav200's today for the mother in law. Got a 4gb mem card in it and followed instructions on here, even renamed the navigator file to the route66 one, yet it won't actually start up in the satnav and doesn't even give any error messages. Has anybody had this problem?

tempted to do the same although i don't like to give up,lol.

i've followed instructions and then when pressing the navigation icon on the satnav nowt happens at all, damn thing!

if i remember right, the sat nav wont load when i up all the files. Ill have to go through previous posts in this thread tonight when i get in to remember properly.

I don't have the RAC unit any longer mate so I can't really help TBH.

Although hacking any WinCE unit is the same for all WinCE based machines.

I've currently got one of those cheap machines from ASDA for £37, and I've got iGo8 running on it, the software it came with was actually worse than the RAC200, lol.
