Hello all,

My m8s dreambox keeps freezing when his laptop is also connected to the internet through his netgear router.
When he turns the laptop off the dreambox does not freeze as much etc. Is there a setting that he can change in the router to allow more data to flow between the server and the dreambox 500s. this has been set up as a client etc. So is receiving the information via the internet.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

when you say it does not freeze as much, is it freezing when nothing else is connected, if so, im assuming whoever he gets his c line off have overloaded the server which results in constant glitching and picture freezing!

you need to try a different cline to see if its any better also whos your broadband with what speed do u have and have u tested your speed ?

That is probobly it then, as it does freeze when nothing else is connected so he has probobly got the server overloaded then.
Nothing he can really do about it, either ask to be connected to a different server or change to a different provider.

Thanks

He is with Vermin and his speed is meant to be 20 meg etc.

well if his internet is running at proper speed then it definetely isnt that as it only uses tiny bits of info to send and recieve. get him to do a speed test just to check though!
