OpenReach termination point is either a) The NT5 Socket if cable to house is overhead, b) the termination box outside the property if the cable to house is brought underground.

Openreach operate as a seprate company to BT Retail, they provide the infrastructure work to ALL ADSL providers including BT BT Retail. Only Openreach can work on their equioment asd its their equipment so nobody else can touch it. As part of the Ofcom regulastions to encourage competition their charges are fixed and published to all ISP's.

I guess what im tryinh to say is that although owned by the BT Group Openreach are a completely seperate company to the BT retail and BT Wholesale.

Thank you everyone for all your help. I went with them and left O2, 2 weeks in now and a nice speed of 45Mb of a service that will give me iplayer and a good ping for gaming lol. Also the kids using the wireless have no problems also. Very happy chappy
