Hardware Phenom 1100T, need to upgrade?

Hello guys I have just recently got a GTX 970 and just wondering if I should upgrade my CPU and budget Mobi? I game in 1080p. Is the 1100t still a decent chip and any ideas on new mobi that could support the 1100t and a better chip until can afford new chip Thanks

Would the Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z Motherboard be a decent buy and improve my 1100t overclock?
