Formula 1/ 2

The FIA Formula 2 championship, or F2 is unofficially recognized as the feeder series to F1. In F1, each team has their own variety of models and technology that they use in their race cars but in F2, every driver sits behind the wheel of a vehicle designed by Williams F1. Cars are completely identical and drivers are backed by the same race engineers to ensure that talent is the only differentiator there.

It was opened on 27 June 1967 at a branch of Barclays in Enfield, London.

Maximum withdrawal was £10 paid out in £1 notes. There were no debit cards or such like and the customer had to use plastic tokens impregnated with a radioactive substance to verify their pin number. It was invented by a man with strong Scottish roots, John Shepherd-Barron.

Soon afterwards another Scottish inventor James Goodfellow came out with a system where the details were stored on a reusable plastic card.

The short answer to this question is that the volume of a drop usually does vary. For water, it will be in the order of 0.06 milliliters. This defines a very approximate unit of volume which apothecaries called a “minim”. A rough rule of thumb is “about 17 drops to the ml”.
