New laptop needed, possibly with finance?

Hi, need your help! Finally given up on my laptop.. for the last two yrs it has been randomly freezing and crashing. Recently the hard drive went and now I've been trying to fit a new one... though during xp install it keeps crashing and I have given up!

I reckon I might be able to flog it for £200 or so to some1 who cares on eBay. I now need a new laptop.

My budget is around £500 and would prefer it if I could buy it on 0% finance for a few months (ie buy now pay later) Would make it easier on my current finances. (I am a uni student afterall)

I'd prefer the following specs:

Centrino or Centrino Duo processor (or the AMD equivlents)
512mb ram
60GB+
15" screen (preferably similar to my Packard Bells "Diamond View" quality)

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance!


(I have found a Dell one for around £570, with centrino duo, 80gb, 512mb ram, dvd r/rw... though no "free" finance)

Thats pretty sweet but bot too keen on that, as I could get the dell inspiron 6400 for similar price + it has coreduo... Though its a definate maybe at the moment

Saw an advert for one earlier in pcworld....it was a centrino and was reduced from £449 to £349. thats not a bad price. All I remember was it was an Advent.
