I read somewhere in the forum about networking straight into tm800 without using miniweb or ftp and I had it working on my pc .You just had to click on the icon and the pc connected straight to the files in the box, but following a change of internet provider and router then had a hard drive recognition problem I lost this connection and for the life of me I cannot remember how to do it again.

Any help would be gratefully received.
Cheers George

Is your dreambox currently connected to the internet?

was it to view folders and files on the receiver in a browser window?

if so, go to the receivers network settings page, and note its IP address, then in a browser window, enter

Code:

If its not showing up automatically then you can try mapping it as a network drive,
I know Mowax did a tut on it,I think its in the dm800 section

Ive now found how to do this again.

Thats to right click on computer icon then click networking/ then type\\ root\ 192.168.X.XXX( what ever your IP address of your box is and then you have access to all the files in your box ,also you can click and drag
