WiFi need to new setup

ok lads ive been using a Linksys router down stairs as a switch box with wifi the router is now playing up so I want to get a new 8 port network switch box for the wired side of thing I can get any box for that the help I need please is with the wife side what is the best low end prise wise is it a repeater or a boaster it would be better if I could get one that would have the same logging as the super hub cheers tony

I just purchased an old D-link dir 615, flashed it with the appropriate software

www.dd-wrt.com set it up as a accesspoint, vpn, repeater, alot more versatile than the old software. i now have several repeating accompanied with an accesspoint also an wifi hotspot

Did i mention that the repeater is very easy to setup, just add the name of the network you wish to repeat complete with passwords and of course no wires required.
