My Step by Step guide on how to install EASY 4.2 Hack with Pictures!

Hi,the answer to Easkeys problem helped me discover what i was doing wrong with my problem,i too was erasing the sd card after the first folder and second folder parts instead of just loading the contents onto the card each time and answering "yes to all" when asked to overwrite files!I was lucky though as i made a back up of the sd card after part 1 of the guide as i noticed there had been files written onto it during part 1.All is working now, softmod done,now usb loader time!Thanks guys.

Just read your note is there any way to get back them files???????????????

Can i reload v4.2 Nintendo Firm again??????????
and start again ????

redo the hack from the start this time overwrite files

OK....Just loaded Homebrew again.
copy and pasted the files from inside “Folder Number 2”
over writing Folder one.............

But still no go​

as i said you can start again anything installed on wii will overwrite..

no problem m8, glad you got it going. I would recommend installing priiloader and a usb loader now.

For usb loader I use usbloadergx a lot of people are using configurable usb loader its up to yourself as both work well

Fellas I would like to say a huge thanks for your help and tut for this mod, I've mod'd my wii quite easily following Bally12345's tut and the post's on this thread, I had more than one issue but all had been asked before so it was just a case of reading the full thread.

For a newbie like myself the best info I was given was read the full thread, it's all been asked before!

Hi i had upgraded the safe mod method originally from 3.4e to 4.2e , tried methods to get usb loader to work inc u loader ect sould not get past manin uloader screen , usb loader juat went from amin screen then back again to menu ,
anyway followed above tutorials , now using conf usb loader to load game from hard drive usb . it finds the game , ie super mario galaxy , but then it tries to load , then i just get a black screen , any ideas please ?

Sorry Raj can't help you I use wiiflow and that loads fine on 4.2e

Yeah its installed to boot2 so you can load it up in case of problems and use your nand backup.

It is just a case of loading to bootmii then clicking backup nand. making sure you have about 600mb spare on SD card

You get the files by doing the first part of the hack.

im on 4.2e so i use the files in folder 1 then to back my wii up cause dont really want to do it unless can bk my wii up incase anythin goes wrong

You said in an other thread your wii was soft mod'd are you just looking to back nand?

she said she softmodded it then used game that she burned etc worked few times then died
but nothin in menues or nothin she wiped sd card to
so think everythin been wiped m8
