missing over 300 channels

for some reason im missing channels on my dreambox 500s i have no problems with the dish as when i use a sly receiver it picks up all the channels and when ive tried using the box elsewhere it scans all the channels so no problems with the tuner, im using nabilosat v08 any help would be much appreciated.

If so then it maybe your satellite.xml file is outdated.

sky dish might need tweaked bud, dreambox needs a good signal and quality, a sky box will still give you all the channels with a weaker signal and quality, check the signal on the sky box an if the quality is below 75% it will cause your prob, iv had the prob recently sky box was around 50% on quality an worked fine so tweaked the dish and got all my channels on 500s

my SNR and AGC is inbetween 90 and 95.
BER is 0.

i used tonedeff's fixed uk channel list.
tried doing a scan myself with no joy.
Please help, this is becoming really frustrating

As I said above your satellite.xml file might be outdated,
stick this one in var/tuxbox and see if it helps

i know one of the other members on here was having a problem with missing channels that was driving him mad and eventually pressing the yellow button and selecting db switch sorted it for him, (he has open pli image) don't know if this will be of any help but maybe nothing to lose with trying it.

Ok then can you try a manual scan on one of the frequencys that you are missing?

put in the frequency polarity, symbol rate and FEC
but it didnt work.
anymore ideas?

the long list of channels on the previous page are the channels that dont work.
add into the mix sky sports 4.
that doesnt work either.

apart from them, all the rest work perfectly.
could it be my dish?
its a ten year old sly minidish, i went up to investigate a couple of weeks ago and it all looked fine.
in saying that SNR and AGC or whatever they are called are in the 90's so cant see that as being problematic.

Ok I'm not 100% sure on this but I think 10 years ago,they used to be an analogue signal so you may need a new lnb,

but wait till someone confirms this first
