Excellent news for United, Van Gaal has a clear philosophy based around possession, pressing and attack but don't be fooled, he's not a gung ho type manager, his focus on pressing is purely aimed at defensive attributes. I have been pointed to his philosophy when he implemented the vision behind the Barcelona side that would become a European unbeatable, anyone with enough obsessive time should have a read of this, it really does outline what a genius of a coach the man is.

His teams are generally set up to play a 2-3-2-3 formation as it opens up many options to create a pass, confused ? Here is exactly how he created the Barcelona philosophy that Pep Guardiola would benefit so magnificently from.

Yep, there will be money ready and waiting come Monday morn that's for sure.
United need a top 4 finish but that side won't have a chance imo.
Valencia at right wing-back would improve us vastly but we need a destroyer in the midfield to win the battles so that the likes of Mata can then feed the front line.
Major signing must happen but he must be a midfield dynamo.

Arturo Vidal ticks those boxes. Give Juve Nani and/or Hernandez & however much cash they want to make up the difference to make it happen. If not it'll be another disappointing season for Utd IMHO.
