Looking for a car for around £2500 to £3000???

OK chaps,

As title says im looking to purchase a car, want it to be diesel and cheap on tax. Any ideas???

I have just brought a Renault Megan 55 plate for the mrs and like all the functions like Keyless entry and start and its 5* ncap rated so have been looking at another one ( But dont really want a his and hers car if you know what i mean roud: )

Whats the Laguna like???

I know its a personal choice but any ideas on what not to touch or what is the best buy.

I know it sounds boring but how about a 2003/2004 Foucs 1.8 TDCi Zetec. Very very nice to drive, well built, it virtually has the same engine as the megan (I believe Ford helped co-develop it), loads to choose from. You should be able to pick up a 60,000 mile model in good nick for around 3k private or a little more trade.
