iPhone iphone fault or sim????????????

Hi guys . I was given a iphone 4s from asda yesterday as no one claimed it after i found it . Now that i have restored and check online if its barred or blocked ( came back unblocked) it was on vodafone already and after putting my vda sim in it goes from vodafone uk with no signal bars (cant make or receive calls ) . then to vodaphone uk with 1 bar and after 4 or 5 seconds it says no service and back to the vodaphone uk with no bars lol .Any ideas ??????????????????????????????

it will of been blocked by now mate, if theres no way to contact original owner, id sell it on ebay to an overseas buyer where the phone will work fine, or keep it and use it as an ipod touch!

yep as Big Hol says it sounds blocked now mate either sell it with a no signal problem on ebay or use as an ipod touch
