IKS patch for the Spiderbox 7000/9000/9900

this all stinks of a big sting to me, so the patch is free, the key is free, but the free key is only given to those who 'donate' €50 to become a VIP member of a forum that they may never of heard of in their lifes (i dont know the forum being talked about)

people choose to donate to forums when they feel the forum has goven them something, and most donations are simply that, a donation, normally of a small amount, as a way of saying thanks

to ask for a donation of such a high amount, to become a VIP member and get a key, is a loophole so that when the key stops working in 12 weeks time after thousands of donations have been received, there will be no comebacks, as the 'donations' were exactly that. this is probably also why the paypal system was down for them for a while, as so many payments all at once would have trigered a scam response with paypal

my spidey senses are tingling on this one, and i think itll all end in tears (except for the forum receiving the 'donations')

I have paid 50 Pound donation to Toecuters...and got ban lol did not got no think in change.

You are donating your Life and your job to Mr TM and not getting no think in change lol...
I think your job and your hours has more value then 45 pound ! some one donate some where...
or even that STINK haw you donate your life to TM 800 ? when people not got nothing in change or donate free to TM ..

Well i am not very clever at understanding what as happened ,except that i have had my Spiderbox about five weeks,bought a wireless dongle, a 1 metre dish ,etc etc, a fair few quid,I realise that you pays your money and you
takes your chance.But as a novice i appreciate that what has happened is not down to any other problem than £££££££££££££sss and greed,and how opportune that a solution is given almost before the event ,its just a shame
that i would have to dig deep again whats being quoted 50 euros, ok not bad if you got 10-12 months or thereabouts but after 5 weeks is a bitter pill to swallow ,and after another 50 euros how many weeks for that there are no guarantees agreed ,but we must all remember what type of ppl we are dealing with and handing our cash over to dont be naive like me!!! give your money to SKY if you want to watch the programs lol.

if you talk with your dealer maybe he can sold thinks out and tell him to respect his promises.

there maybe something in the pipeline for people such as yourself depending were you purchased the box and if you have proof of purchase although nothing has been decided from what ive read.. for a extra £30 quid and a great deal of reading you could have got a vu+solo clone and a jsc1 to 8 viewing card instead of a spiderbox and you could have most of the channels available through other methods. no-one should rely on any type of box for watching premium content and if you want certainty then get an official s*y sub or similar as everything else is a risk and those of us who have been in the sat game since analogue days know this only too well,regards mdt

things like this have killed the real hobby of satellite tv, years ago, when 'card sharing' was just that, hobbyists 'sharing' their own cards, people would say 'i can receive 11,956 channels, and can clear 9,874 of them' and the reply would be 'wow, thats great, what do you watch?'

'oh, i dont watch telly, i just like to see how many channels i can get.......'

now its all about people making money from those what want to watch tv for as close to free as possible, and its things like that that make providors start to take notice and start to lock down the things that have quietly been hapening for years and years

as usual, the few (greedy ones wanting to make money) spoil it for the many (real hobbyists) and will eventually bring the whole lot to an end, and itll be the people looking to save money, who have been paying the scammers looking to the real community to 'fix' things for them, when all along, its been them who have slowly been the cancer eating away at the hobby that allowed them to watch for cheap in the first place

why you do so much noise about Gifts of fre channels ..why you do not teach people to use Spiderbox to share their own cards with Spiderbox...when spider is the only stb non Linux to share the cards ..No one of Boxes you have advertise so strongly and donate your life can not do that...
be honest with this Members tell them about The best capacity of Spiderbox to share their own Card and enter in real hobby ...Keep them away with TMS non Linux from China .can not share any cards mean not real hobby just clients and even them need to pay to see some think...! hmmm

DW has no sponsors m8, its completley independant (it may have google placed ads etc, but no sponsor)

ive always been very vocal about receivers like this, even when the idea of the spiderbox was first posted a few years ago, i said it couldnt last and would one day end in tears, but, for the early takers of the receiver, they have had one hell of a good run, and have NO reason to complain, for newer users, then depending on HOW they was sold the receiver, along with its 'features' then they may have some pathway to be refunded, but, personally, i wouldnt hold my breath, the company i work for stopped selling spiderboxes about 18 months ago, and even then, 'the gift' was not used as a selling point

without this gift, its just another box that could be bought for 50 quid on ebay, in fact, since this happening, id imagine ebay will now be slowly filling up with them

but, it still has the best remote controll ive ever seen bundled with a sat receiver lol

This is Technomate Mouth not yours...all TMS with no channels why they do not sell in Ebay form 50 euro..even last models bought from Gosat-Glob sat china from 30 dollars !? and has no capacity to even compete with spider even is 2-3 years OLD.and Korean...
spider is more then 3 years now...all Your advertise TMs you done ..going in 12 months...

the 'ethernet' or 'gift' has been the major selling point of the spiderbox since its launch. boxes that can do exactly the same, without this feature, can be bought for as little as £50 if you look around, boxes that can do a LOT more can be bought for £150, with twin tuners and unlimited access to other online services, so for the money that people have paid, especially if they have only recently bought the receiver, then what they have ended up with, is a very raw deal indeed

but

i have said for a VERY long time, that if you cannot afford to lose every penny you paid for the receiver, if buying it to use with an illegal server, or other form of illegal way of clearing channels, then, you shouldnt have bought it in the first place

your spiderboxes will still be able to connect to a just as dodgey card share server, but, youll now have to also pay a monthly fee to clear channels, sometimes, its just easier to take out a sly subscritption, espeially when theres some sites offering codes with 50-75% off, which means you could have full HD, 3D and PVR, as well as on demand, including iPlayer etc, for ~ £320 for the whole year (if you get the best deal)

what a bargain some people have now had.......:/

Thanks for this, I appreciate everything you are saying. Will just keep looking for new patches, if they ever become available. However, in the meantime, is it possible you can direct me to the best site for best deals to buy?

if you actually read and understand my posts, im not saying anything about the receivers themselfs, but about the people looking to make money from end users who do not fully understand the way things work. i too have donated to many forums, but, i have never joined a forum, and the first thing i do is donate a great lump to them

Hmmm!! difficult post to answer as I see both sides of the argument so my thoughts (if they dont coincide with anyone else well thats just life).

Now lets be fair and I'm not going to go into any hardware specifications but rather the users understanding of the subject of sharing.
Right a lot of users will be familiar with sharing and need no help at all, they will buy any receiver that meets their needs and get a line from a friend and their away they go dont need help they are fully conversant with the subject.

On the other hand there are as many non technical users and this is where receivers like the Spiderbox come into their own, once setup and with the Ethernet (for now down) it was a piece of cake as you did not have to hunt round for a friend to share a line or Google CCcam for a pay server it was all done for you. Receivers like the TM5302/5402 also but not quite, fit into this category, yes they are as simple as the Spiderbox to install BUT you still need that "good friend" who is going to share his paid for sub or Google for a line which in itself can be a bit of a minefield.

Personally I have installed the IKS patch (I paid for my VIP membership it was not a freebee) and am pleased with the result, considering the cost of a pay server for a year I consider the 50 euro's charge for VIP membership very reasonable and so do other long term Spiderbox users.

You see it all comes down to the level of difficulty or simplicity you want and for the non technical user the Spiderbox and IKS patch is a great way to go about things with the knowledge that you can spend a year if you want looking at ways to further extend you Spiderbox.

As for members who have not had a full years Ethernet well you really do have my sympathy and it's not for me to say what anyone should do but if I had a motorized dish I know what I would do.

Yeh you are right digidude about the sponsors,i got a bit carried away there lol ,didnt mean to be specific i was generalising and it was inappropiate and not aimed at DW,in fact DW had nothing to do with the purchase of the Spiderbox as i pointed out in

Like an idiot I went on the vasiks site and tried to updated my email address, then the site tells me to verify the change via a " re verification email" Low and behold! it comes up as "error 403 forbidden" now I'm stuck!!! I can't pay because I am locked out. I have tried to re register but that page won't come up! Sometimes I just wish I would leave things alone! but there we go! I'm in a mess again!!! can anyone help??
