ID my chip

well i blew the dust off me ps2,s the chipped ones prity miuch dead. so im trying to mix and and match..

the chip i got required me to put a large iso based dvd into the ps2 and hold the eject key...

what chip is this and how much compatability has it got with the latest games cheers

no much on the way of compatibility with dvd games and newer ps2's im afraid.

well opened it up to adjust pot settings

have seen a glued on PCB with 42 wires...

must of been an ealry mod chip

it didnt require a swap disk justthe holding down of the eject buton after inserting a large TOC dvd (GTA3 for instance)

modle is SCHP-30003

also have a 35003 Un modded

looking to get either working or selling on

Sounds like my all time favorite a NEO 4.

a great chip, 44 wires in all . if you want all region dvd, macro off

I scrapped 8 off those a few years back, lifted all the chips for spares.

The scph-30003 is a v3 - 4
scph-35003 is a v4
Used KHS400B lasers, not very reliable lasers, but ok machines.

ooh ok.. would i be guessing right in saying i could easily change the the Laser units over between the two... cause i dont really wanna move the chip across... ok i can soilder, but not that well..

and im not sure if its the neo 4 as that was a no swap chip.. where as i need to do swaps when loading DVD games... or so i am to remember..
