ok im very tempted but the 1 thing putting me off is that its 1080i and not 1080p

it just bothers me.....

have you any links to the hd or normal content you can expect to get m8? ad are the freebies or do u need subscriptons......

The only AV equipment that outputs 1080p is Bluray and HD-DVD - no one will broadcast in 1080P for quite some time so don't let that put you off.

You can keep it down to a couple of metres above ground level providing theres a clear line of view towards the satellites. Ladders aint that bad.

pvr function is nice on these aswell, hook a hdd up and pause live tv or record tv, still not got many channels as im hooked up through my sky dish till the motor comes for the beast of a dish i have. not read the instructions like most of us lol but im sure it upscales std tv aswell as mines looking pretty sweet through the box with hdmi lead.

im sure that i read somewhere that dream multimedia have to completley rethink their HD box as they were refused a license for HDMI

very good thread!just wondering i want to set up a media centre pc with sat card,if i get a sat card and hd graphics card etc,is it anything like a technomate hd,as in can i use a motorised dish and is it hard to update the channels encryption etc,with the technomate you guys seem to install a patch or something?
