Thought I would weight myself today, just to see how much I have put on.

I am now 18 stone! Eeeekk

Time for some serious dieting. Problem is I enjoy my food too much and have this problem where I don't really ever feel full.

Can you give me some tips on how to lose weight?

yeah snap i`m a bit like that too i will be full for about 5 minutes then hungry again even if i eat slow its weird

I put too much on over Christmas and new year (don't we all!)
When I got home from hols at new year and looked at the photo's I had a proper gut!!!
Anyway, weighed myself and was 11 stone 4
Doesn't sound much to some but I'm a short arsed little fecker at 5'6" lol
I stopped eating snack type things, ie dipping in the biscuit tin etc and started walking a few weeks ago.
It's surprising how much you burn off if you have a brisk walk. No need for all that jogging and wrecking your knees etc.
Have a walk at a decent pace that gets the old ticker beating quicker.
I did a mile, then 2 and built up to 5 miles through the countryside near me.
I live on the edge of town next to open moorland so it's a nice walk too.

As an added incentive and also for us techy types, make a sreadsheet in exel and plot a graph of your weight each week. That way you can see how you are doing.
Weigh yourself at the same time each week ie Sunday morning after a piss and before you've had a brew and breaky.

I'm 10 stone 7 this morning and am loosing roughly 3 pounds a week, which is fine by me!

Get off DW and onto a push bike! Losing weight is hard work, sounds like you'll need to go back to the drawing board on your diet and start doing plenty of exercise. We're at the beginning of the new year and we've just hit spring... what a perfect time to start.

My only tip is not to piss about, set yourself some realistic weekly/monthly targets and do everything you can to hit them. As for scales, don't get on them more than more a week. Good luck with it, you can do it!

If you eat a couple of big meals a day it will slow your metabolism down. Try eating a smaller meal every 2½ to 3 hours to raise your metabolism.
 
I have the opposite problem: I'm 9st and could do with being a bit heavier.

My normal sort of weight is around 9 1/2 so I'm having probs keeping my trousers up. :)

i'm only 5.8 and i'm 18st 4lbs
i eat quite healthily, but i do drink about 100 cans of beer a week :drink:

my doc says i would lose loads of weight if i just stopped drinking.

at 6ft 1 and weighing 15 stone this thread is making me feel anorexic.

I'm 5' 10" and 16 Stone.

I stopped drinking for a period 2 years ago and my weight dropped to 13 Stone 2lbs :)
 
Fook me, I must be fat aswell then.

I'm 5ft 8½" and I weigh just under 16stones.

I'm always bouncing around between 15 and 16 stones.

I walk at least 3-5 miles during the weekdays and I play footy twice a week as well!!!

Don't know why I'm so fat:drink:

Stop drinking, bah I switched from gassy lager to spirits but still the same problem. :)

I'm 5' 11" but still morbidly obese. I don't go for sweet things, I am much more of a savoury person, you know pork pies, pasties, crisps and the likes ;)

Just got back from a Mothers Day meal and I had garlic bread with goats cheese, garlic bread with tomato and pesto, olives, 8 hot chicken wings, celery with blue cheese dressing, 10 oz rump steak med rare, herb potatoes, coleslaw, slice of tiramasu and 2 pints of diet coke.

Not like I'm not eating healthy, I had celery ffs.

now who is telling porkies, when you came round mine you countn't fit throught the door, lol :)
