How to play divx/avi on my dm800hd?

Hi guys, having a bit of bother trying to play films etc on my 800hd?

I copy the file/s to my internal hdd with DCC but when i try nd play them through the 800 i get "Gstreamer avi demuxer plugin error" or a black screen.

I have tried the media player delux plugin + vlc plugin & I carnt get it to work.

I set a server in the vlc plugin & can access my laptop but some of the files dont show up on the 800, even though they are there on the laptop.

Thought you would just copy the file accross nd play?

The dm can't play avi/divx files from the internal hdd, you can however stream them from your pc using vlc on your pc and the vlc plugin on your dm.
here's a quick guide, make sure you start vlc player on your pc before browsing your server on the dm.

These formats will play directly from the internal hdd on the dm

Mpeg 1 + 2
vob (dvd's)
Mp4 (mpeg4, avc standard, also iso standard but resolution sucks)
MKV (HD, h264)

i use this batch file just drop film in it and it converts it to ts file

unrar the file and just put ts on your desktop the drag film onto ts folder
you should the get another file on your desktop same name as film but as ts file{takes about 10 tn 15 mins}
then just send ts file to your hdd on your boxi use ddc
i dont bother anymore just use 1 channal plugin
