Errr....I know this may sound daft to a man of your capabilities...but have you set 'test/simulate' as default..can't remember where the box is...(not on this m/c at work) and un-check the box.

I've had a Freecom internal 8x4x32 for about twelve months now and it won't copy anything but audio - I've tried all the software but usually come back to Adaptec . . . .

My Freecom 8x4x32 just packed up. Kaput. Had it around 12 months and cost about £160. I had nothing but trouble with the thing from day one. As for copying things other than audio such as VCD or direct disk copies, the best software that I found with this model was Nero. I dont believe that CD Clone supported it. I think that sometimes its a case of finding what software best suits your machine and also what it is exactly in hand that you are copying.
