Loaded new image Vix
installed cam (Scam 3.59)

when trying to start get error message (found non standard softcam trying to start may fail)

However after Softcam Setup shows Active Scam.3.59 Select (Tick) Scam 3.59

But no Picture???

is the cam a vix cam or a stanard E2 cam? did you install it via .bin or via .pk? regards mdt

I just installed it and did not encounter the error you mention? Answers to Mdt's questions may reveal cause.

All sorted now, tried different cam and it is fine but can't seem to get BBC - ITV iplayer, I thought you said it was already loaded on the VIX image?
seems to me you are a one man band here? no one else seems to help

Everyone is here to help, they do so when they can.

ITV player and BBC iplayer as well as others are bundled in the "on demand" plugin.

Yeah I understand, just trying to sort my channels at the moment then I'll look for on demand can't remember seeing that when I checked earlier

As soon as you press menu you will see on demand at the bottom.

Must have wrong Image, when I press Menu:
Timers / VCR scart / Informatiom / Plugins / Setup / Standby / Restart
Plugins:
CrossEPG / Media Scanner / Openwebif / Picture Player

652 is still classed as a unstable update and as such you wont find it on the download site, you can however perform a online update from 649. as for OnDemand it is not installed in the image by default you have to download it from the image feeds.

Menu> Plugins> ( green to download ) > extensions> OnDemand.

To allow unstable updates, change "allow unstable (untested) updates" to "yes"
Menu > Setup > System > Software Update

Not the following as that actually performs the update.
Menu > Setup > Software Update

Good Morning Abu,
Thank you very much, don't think I would have ever have found or managed to work that out, have loaded "On Demand" and now updating software. I hope this thread helps others, as it has helped me. I think the last time I changed anything on the Twin was January 2012, only change when something goes wrong. My son has my old TM 800 still with original image it seems fine only seem to get a problem when broadband plays up.

Tried the ITVplayer (which is the plugin I wanted) however it was stuttering seemed to play for 3 secs then stop for 3 then run again and so on. Looks like that might be broadband? what do you or anyone think?

I'm confident it is your broadband/network. No issues with the plugin or standalone player here.

Thats pretty much exactly the same as my speed and OnDemand works flawlessly on all 7 receivers i use / test with.
