FIFA 11 tips?

As stated really - my son comes down and kicks my butt every week. Anyone got any hints or tips for me. I can't seem to score even when I play with classic 11 and my defense is shocking! He seems to be able to weave his way past me with his attackers whereas his defenders always tackle me. Any advice greatfully received - I know its my own fault for beating him on games when he was younger but I don't mind losing but would like a closer game!

When you run your player across to tackle him stay on your feet and use the X button and keep it pressed down until you have finished tackling. You can call another player across using the shoot button which is square for me so you can the computer AI can tackle the same player.
Also use L2 and your right analogue stick for some trick moves

my advise just play it a little more on your own thold the lb and pass at the same time makes the player passing the ball move up the feild
