epc2100 nightmare!!!

Trying to do my first epc2100 got it all setup with cable and open up hyperterminal and checked all settings as in tut then when prompted i press p and im doing it quick, but all i get is this

make sure you have the com port settings Flow control
Set To OFF and Not Hardware

but you may have one of the updated firmwares that dont let you use the boot menu

updated fw? when i put to off/none it then asks me for ip of board and other stuff then i see the menu, but after i start the tftp and press d it just asks for ip again, Oh and im in TW land if that helps.

follow the 250 guide its the same thing

If its asked you for IP your VERY close. just be sure to set your computers IP to the correct setting and have tftp open and running (also make sure no firewall is blocking tftp port)

actually if im understanding you right ..... as mentioned follow the guide. the modem IP is 192.blah.blah.1 and the IP you enter upon downloading flash is your PC ip which is hosting the image via tftp
