Ambit 250 help -

Getting this when trying to flash the modem, had a look at google 1st obviously and the guy says he got round it by typing in the commands instead of pasting.

Tried that though and still no luck, when i power up the modem with just an ethernet cable attatched i doesn't let me log into the modem.

I thought at 1st it was bricked but can still get the option p ect just can't get it to communicate with the TFTP

I've done everything like firewalls off and anti virus off and even flashed a spare modem i had and it worked perfectly so its defo something to do with this modem.

In the other modem i flashed the only thing different was the part highlighted in bold

the ethernet port on the modem is naff... look in the port and see if any of the pin inside might be bent or out of place

i think gentlex is spot on there mate either that or your ethernet cable is naff.

Thanks for the replies, no bent pins though, ethernet cable is also working.

Thats the 1st thing i looked for.

Would any old ethernet port work on the modem?

well all the ambits ethernet port seems to have the principle so no reason why u cant try changing it!!! but try reflowing it 1st incase it was just a dry joint
