I have just fitted a 32mb ** out nvidia gforce2 card, and whilst I can get sound from any cdroms I play, I can't get any sound out of a DVD movie. I have tried various players, and made sure all is connected OK. Any Ideas?

not to sure but do you have to connect the cdrom audio cable to the ** card then from the ** card to ur sound card

what sort of sound card do you have?

Most DVD drives work exactly the same as a CD rom drive, with respect to basic audio sound.

fit a standard audio cable from the DVD into your sound card and check that the software is working ok through windows control panel, I assume that you have two speakers, If you have digital speakers (5:1) and a digital sourround sound card, then you may need a SPDF (sony, phillips, digital, interface) cable fitted from your DVD to your sound card.<br />I have used all the above and still managed to get basic audio sound from my DVD using a basic cable.

Thanks for the help guys.

The sound card is an onboard sound, creative SB 64V is what it says in my computer. Any other thoughts?
