Iv just bought one of these for my father in law, apparently his mate has one so I thought I would see what its like. Anyone had any experience with these boxes? Do you need to sideload all apps or is it all done? Just looking for sports streaming etc.

If it needs setting up then I will have to open it up, otherwise I can just give it sealed.

Any help would be appreciated. Literally looking for a plug and play option with simple menus. Don't need kodi as he wont be able to connected to my NAS although plex might be a option for movies

I don't know anything about the droid player you have bought. I can recommend the Zoomtak T8 plus thou. As for streaming sports and movies there are not too many apps but there are plenty of Add-ons within Kodi that you can use.
