DM800HD - from secondstage #76A to latest ???

Hello,

I have a DM800HD clone for 3 years now and everything is ok.

Is that box still able to be updated to the latest versions of firmware/image ?
And to run the latest Gemini without "timebomb" or other issue ?

I currently run very old versions:
- it is a SIM201 with #76A
- I run Gemini 0510

you can update bootloader #84b and run the latest clone images

There are no Gemini images these days mate.

There is a GP3 project plugin form the Gemini team which converts a cvs image into a Gemini like image after running it. That is as near as it gets.

I would go with openpli base openpli-2.1-beta-dm800-2013-03-17-sim2-dOOds available from downloads..It is a very well used and trusted image.But with SSL84b there are lots of new images to choose from.Just ensure bootloader number matches the image and is for correct box.

the latest images for DM800HD and 800SE clones and SIM2.01/2.1 are gjstroom OpenPLI , theyre clean images built from source on an nightly basis and come with SSL 84b included.

Yeah the gstroom images are just about the only sim2 image updates now. Sad to see the once great support from sim2 die at the tail end of oe1.6 development and die all together with the arrival of OE2.0.
