hi guys !!

after a few drinks last night, I decided to log on fleabay.. and do some window shopping, during this my eye caught a great deal 4gig DDR2 ram. So sorted !!! I won the auction £22plus £8 delivery.. (what a bargain aint it) : shocked2

cool, no bother, in the morning with a hangover, and reading my motherboards spec.. which is an Intel 865GLC, it appears that the motherboard only supports 184 pin DDR ram..

now, for all you saying, what a F**d, you are right...

Im stuck with it and only two options, either buy a new motherboard and CPU or sell the damn thing which is a sore head..

does anyone know if any socket 478 motherboard that supports DDR2 ram as I dont want to buy another CPU...

please advise

You do know that your system won't see the whole 4GB of RAM unless you have a 64 bit system? You'll get closer to 3.

Anyway, check ebuyer or Misco. I'm sure you'll easily find a 478 motherboard that supports DDR2.
