get a £20/30 off ebay,put a sd card in, size your choice but i us a 16 gig and it covers most of my working day.
no need to lash out on big expensive one's cos the picture quality on video to pc is quite good.

thats the one i have in me truck and works a treat,runs for 10/15 hours a day,just be careful with the power lead cos bending it etc may cause it to break.

Seen a few taxi drivers using their smartphones for this reason,don't know how good they are, but the pictures looked pretty clear to me.

Although it seems the Russians have dashcams for different reasons

Has anyone found one with a nice small camera with a remote recording unit which can be in the glovebox etc? Clunky visible units like these are just asking for some twat to put the window through and if you need to remove it each time then never gonna get used.

It just to try get some protection against all these 'crash for cash' nutters that are rife.
