Cleaning Camera?

Hey,

I have a Nikon D40 and there is a small spot on all the pic's i take in same place. Its not the lense as i have different ones and its still there. Any ideas how i can clean it or where i can get it cleaned in Brum???

Instead of paying £18.99. Grab a bottle of surgical spirit, around £2, from the chemist and some lint free cloths, cut the cloth into strips the same width as your sensor and use them. The puffer you can get off ebay for around a quid.

Surgical spirit is used for cleansing things, like surgeons hands and instruments before an operation. It cleans and evaporates without leaving any trace behind.

Most liquids you get in cleaning kits, like tape head cleaners or VHS head cleaners is based on the same stuff, only less pure.

Also called rubbing alcohol in a less pure form.

It can also be used to remove thermal pastes from CPU coolers when changing chips, or to remove spots and skin blemishes.
