They got a lot of weapons from the Soviet Union, 47% in 1989. They also
got a lot from France, 27% including Mirage and Super Etendard planes
and Exorcet missiles.

The British and Americans mainly supplied them with the weapons of mass
destruction.

Interesting . I know an English guy who works for one of the U.S firms
on that list.

I've seen some of the photos he took in Iraq not long after the
"official" war stopped. I hasten to add that his work is in no way
related with weapons production, but I find it interesting all the
same.

I find it extremely worrying. We live in a society which is becoming
more and more oppressed as more and more laws are made to control
our lives and the state uses modern technology to ensure no one has
any option but to be so sqeaky clean that their farts don't smell.
While the state itself has decided it can do anything it likes, no
matter how illegal or immoral.

The Israeli barrier is an example, the highest court in the world has
declared it illegal yet the self appointed police force of the world
will do nothing about it and will prevent anyone else from doing
anything about it.

A state where the police have set themselves above the judiciary is
called a police state, the world is a police state.
