No! the 1m bore supergun was a *huge* construction. Basically a 512 feet
long 1m bore tube mounted at 45degrees up the side of a valley mounted on
huge concrete mounts. You have all seen Pen-y-Ghent, and some will have
climbed it, well Babylon would nicely fit against the steep bit near the
top, with not much hill to spare.

Photos of ?Baby? Babylon which was 340mmm bore by 40m long.

(lots of other info on superguns)
note the pickup trucks at the bottom.
Babylon was 3 times the bore and four times the length

If anyone is in the area, Fort Nelson is worth a visit.

Like the chief constable of Humberside? Does this mean David Blunkett will

Maybe, but not necessarily. Maybe we elect someone because we believe they
have exceptional intellectual capacity and wisdom so they can lead the
country better than us. MPs like to talk about representing the people - it
gets them votes, but I'm damn sure Churchil saw himself as a leader and not
a servant!

They are still supposed to lead the country in the direction it wants to
go.

Have you any idea how many people died needlessly because Churchill
got it wrong? Like the 11,000+ and counting that have died needlessly
because the American and British governments got it wrong.
