have been following instructions to activate the maps but cant find any .mid files in the map folder that i downloaded off R**idshare. I have my device code so would i be able to ask someone on here to put it through keygen or would that not work ?? or has anyone got the .mid file that would do ???

Thanks

A friend of mine installed this version on his n80 and the file was not a midi,he used one of the other files in the folder list for the keygen and that worked.sorry its a bit vague but i will ask him in the morning and post it if nobody beats me to it.

this is what i get when trying to open the keygen.

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings>cd
C:\Documents and Settings

C:\Documents and Settings>cd\

C:\>cd keygen

C:\keygen>
C:\keygen>TT6_kg_4_C4Pda.exe Great_Britain.mid
'TT6_kg_4_C4Pda.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\keygen>

if i drop the mid file into the keygen then it does come up asking for id, but when you put it in the screen just goes off.

Any ideas ???

the .mid file is the one that looks like media player file called Great_Britain.

as to the tom tom logo not being in your own folder sounds like the program hasnt installed into your phone properly. did it install itself when you unplugged the phone from the cable ?

no i didnt install. how do you do that?
i copied the tomtom folder onto my sd card , and then put the card in to the phone. and i thats it .

what phone are you putting it on ? did you put it into the root of the memory card ( into no folder ) . as you have read i had similar problem. this is how i did it.

open the folder you downloaded , there should be 7 folders in there, goto edit, select all, then goto edit again and copy. now go to the window for your memory card and paste it there. once you put the card in it should automatically start to install.

there will be a tom tom symbol in your own folder now.

once this is done then you can install the maps.

Hope this helps.
