Sorry to hijack, but my garden is riddled with mares tail, I'm sick of pullin it up.... Sometimes the root is 2 to 3 foot long. It even grows out of the motar between the bricks grr. Any help

mares tail is a tough one m8 you can get it treated by a specialist gardeners but it will cost you
to fully get rid you need to dig at least 5ft and remove everything
is it in your lawn or on block paving ?

try caseron G which is a residual wedkiller or Garlon which is used as stump killer.
Both of these are pro weedkillers, so you cant buy them off the shelf.
Im afraid some nice people in Europe saw to most of the good stuff being delisted from use.
You can order it online or from a good farm supplier ( not alot of good if you live in a city).
I'm afraid most of the stuff sold to the general public is crap!
Or find someone like me or the the other landscaper on here who has a PA1 PA6 spray ticket and pay us to deal with the nasty weeds.
looks like a type of forest flamechhers for all the advice guys.. looks like its coming under control at last.
ive got a bush out my back i would like to find out the name of.. any idea's?

Ok, i will get right onto that.. How many ton is 50square ft @ 5ft deep??
nah lol.. in the garden its everywhere.. in the lawn, flowerbeds and growing from the bottom motar line.. ive even re pointed but it still comes back out lol.. just getting fed up maintaining it.... move the wheelie bin and it grows in that spot :S
