cable tuner help needed please

Hi
I got a DITV1000 and it worked but then some of the channels were not there. It turned out if I wiggled the silver thing that the cable goes into it would work. Eventually this stopped working I undid the box and looked at the tuner. The joint had become undone. I resoldered it but now I dont have any channels
Help
Alternativley if anyone has a DITV1000 tuner I could buy let me know

Check your soldering again and redo it if you can and don't over tighten the nut when you put it back on.
You can put an adaptor on the cable feed to make it plug into a coax socket and just plug it straight into the tunner after taking off the cim (which is the can you cut the talkback in)
Also check in the Engineers menu for the quality of the signal and your net id and frequency ok.

I have resoldered it and tried cinnecting the lead straight to the circuit board, Think I need a new tuner

the 1000 tuner.. is that the one where the connector is totaly round as to aposed to semi round?? if so i have one on my mouse mat :|
