Hi guys,

just need a wee bit of advice, as i am now a married man with the misses moved in, i have been banished upstairs to a more spacious well decorated room as my old room was downstairs and had everything from my desktop pc to the cable tv however it was a little small for both of us to stay there plus it was abit grotty which I didn;t care anyway :) my new room upstairs has not got a cable connection which is a downside, so tomorrow im thinking of running A coaxial lead from the grey box outside my house to my bedroom upstairs, I am going to buy this coaxial lead tomorrow from screw fix http://www.screwfix.com/prods/94205...ack-100m?cm_re=SEARCHPROMO-_-CABLE TV-_-94205

would this do the job? also i need to get a couple connectors to put on both end of these lead, can anyone shed some light on the exact name of these connectors also do i need to buy anything else to complete my connections, how easy is to fit one of those connectors in on the coax do i need a special pliers or anything, sorry for the dumb questions as i don't want to miss anything out when i go buy the stuff in the morning.

thanks again guys.

Before you start check where the isolator is.

Its often inside a small box where the cable comes inside the building. You shouldn't modify the cable path before this device.

The isolator is there to protect you from any power surges that come up the cable and to protect them from any faulty equipment you may have.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NTL-VIRGIN-ST...oryZ4693QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem thsi is the splitter you will needfor the box outside.

and these are the f connecters that you will need.

i cant seem to find an isolator on ebay but if you pm me i may be able to help.

Thanks for the advise m8, just going to make my way down to screw fix to pick my bits and bobs for this, i can buy the F connectors from there for £2.26 for a pack of 10, which i am going to do.

cheers guys:Cheers:
