Well I bought a new camera to celebrate the birth of my we lad, and for my birthday that is coming up soon.

I bought a Panasonic FZ38, to replace a Panasonic FZ20. I am a big fan of the Lumix range of camera's as basically they are a Leica camera/lens Panasonic software.

So here is a picture I took yesterday, full image is 14M so I uploaded it to Photobucket

Thanks, yeah its about 5 miles away from where I live :)

The great thing is where I live, I only need to go about 3-4 miles in ANY direction and I am in the country :)

Nice one Mairy. I bought one a few months back & love it so far, especially the HD video (I know it's a camera but the quality of video is mighty impressive). Couple of tips in this thread from Popcorn.

One thing I would add to that, it set the ISO limit to 400 otherwise your pictures will get a bit of noise on them. This is a problem associated with all digital cameras.

True with some cameras.......but with new DSLR's you can set the ISO to 3200 and still get crisp photos, really amazing!

Makes no differene whether its a D-SLR or not, its the noise induced by the sensor thats the problem not the optics.
