Head gaskets.

Never owned one so wouldnt know but know a few that have owned mercs and 2 have reported blown head gaskets.

Not sure about faults but I think the car has an auto and a triptronic gearbox. Make sure you use both when test driving and be on the listen for and clunking or grinding noises. Repairs can be very costly.

That's just general advice though, I don't own one.

Have look on Parkers site, they list fault and have reviews from ordinary people that own the cars.

guide but me being a cheap skate didnt bother paying to find out more about the car!!
