ok mate, i had an issue in the previuos version with the menus. it may be the blue menu that doesnt like my box/telly. however i installed this one. autobouquets done. looking better than the blue.

a couple of questions.

1, picons. can u get picons for both sat and vermin? is there seperate folders etc?
2, cams. they are installed, i can see them under the blue button. but i cant see the file cccam.list u mentioned in ather post. do i ftp that file seperately?
3, selecting cams. there are 2 options to have 2 cams do i select in option 1 the mgccam and just leave the 2nd option blank?

sorry to ask these questions, im just being catious because its new. i want to take baby syteps. dont want to brick it.

1. I just uploaded some not my work so all credit to original author: https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?resources/3173/ these will show up on both

2. all the Files in the OpenATV image are kept in /usr/keys folder there you will find everything you need

3. you dont need to select both Cams as i have configured MGcamd to run both a C: if placed inside cccamd.list and an N: if placed inside newcamd.list

Always best to ask if your not 100% sure

Regards

Can I just ask a quick question?
If a lot of the newer images have autobouquets built in for sat and cable, how come this has autobouquets c2 lite?
Is there a difference or an advantage?
Probably a stupid question but I've only ever used the sat side and not a combo box.

If I have N for both options, would I create 1 list file with both in there?

See your supplier for info. If u use mgccam then the best way to use a line is in the CWS format. However if u use the cccam.list file I think they can both be dropped in there.

I'm not 100% sure. I use the auto bouquet maker in the service searching area. Pops up my area no probs. I used ftp to put a motorised list up and the cable went straight to the top of it.

That's what I meant but was typing from work on my phone and didn't have a lot of time.
I wasn't sure if you had to run the inbuilt one and then the c2 lite one or if the c2 would do both.

I'll just use the one that's built into the OpenATV image.
Thanks.

The reason i put the C2 lite version in there is because the in-built Auto bouquets seems to miss some channels one of which is the PVR_EPG which is handy for the EPG from VM

Ok digi mate. Wasn't complaining just don't know the difference between them that's all.
How would it work regarding using the C2 lite version?
Do I have to use the inbuilt one for Sky and the C2 one for the cable???

Sorry for all the question.

Hi Fangface,

wa not meant to sound like that, but basically if you use the ABM built in for the Sky channels then you will lose the C2 Lite channels and for this to work you need to be on a working Cable channel before you do a scan, The ABM built in for 28.2° east and VM does not need a working channel to scan.

I just put the C2 Lite in as another option which i explained above, if your not fussed about a few missing channels then use the Built in ABM its probably easier

I used the inbuilt one and missing around 10 channels.
They show in the generated bouquet but just a black screen when you try to watch them.

??????

THANKS digi after downloading this image sometime ago ive just put it on today
at the mo the only thing I would like to know is how do you add a channel to the favourites folder and as yet ive not test epg for sly but vermin is ok

You need to be in the main bouquet editor i just press either up or down on what channel i am on which lists the bouquet press menu then you have options for the Move mode

I been running the atv5 for a week, I did find the crossEPG would just hag when parsing events, only way round I found was to add a swap file, is this normal or have I set it up wrong.

I’ve also had issue with playing movie files, I copies them to the usb (all files under 2GB) avi, H.264 mkv etc would not play any of them with file player. I converted them to mpeg2 then they would play once but would not always play again without a reboot. 2 different 8GB usb pens tried. Would I be better of using a different image as need it to play net mount movie files?

Anybody having issues downloading plugins, just seems to have stopped working.
Nothing seems to populate, just icon swirls round and round for ever then locks up box?

Mine has never worked.
It shows a green traffic light for the status feed but when I click download plugins it just randomly has the icon swirling in the top left corner but nothing seems to be happening. I've left it for over an hour without anything working.

I've used telnet to do the opkg update and opkg upgrade and the same thing happens as above.

I thought mine did work when I first flashed it but could have been mistaken as flashed a few different images. I tried opkd but same result as you
.
When I have time going to do Factory reset , not sure where it will take me back to though. It helped when I had problems at 4.2.
