I bought an HP 3050a for £25 from HP themselves and a load of ink off them. They were charging £10 for a black and colour but this went to £9.50. They are not high capacity but you can get £3.75 for black & £4.15 for colour empties at therecyclingfactory. With Quidco you could potentially refill for £1.60.

Got this all from HUKD

I'm kind of in the market for a printer as well, however I do very little printing at home, so it'd need to be an exceptional deal for me to part with my hard earned.
All of my photo printing gets done on my Canon Selphy, it's a great machine & I have no intentions of changing it, and any doc's usually gets sent to my work printer.

Anyway, when I was searching around for a replacement All-in-one (wireless) printer, I found the following at PC World - HP Deskjet 3070A e Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer at cheap prices | PC World

It's wireless, you can also send your doc's to the printer via email, it uses 4 x separate ink cartridges, so you don't have to splash out when one colour dries up, and as well as the ink cartridges included with the bundle, PC World were also throwing an in extra 4 cartridges worth £30 for free.

It may be a local PC World deal, but might be worth checking out.

I'm not the greatest HP fan, but apparently the Laptop/PC section are entirely different from the printers.
